The one-stop shop for the offshore safety representative

Reporting: Disease

Relevant Statutes:

  • Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurences Regulations 1995 [RIDDOR]

This is a specialised subject and would not normally be handled onshore. There is a long and wide ranging list of diseases and associated work activities (most of which are unlikely offshore) and a fist of diseases that only have to be reported in respect of offshore workers.

This list includes:

Chickenpox, cholera, diphtheria, dysentery, food poisoning, measles, meningitis, mumps, rubella, seal-let fever, tetanus etc.

Reports are made on a F2508A form and sent to the HSE
